A choreographic cycle ofmundane ‘drinkingceremonies’, consisting ofduets and solos by InbalYomtovian and Adva Yer -artists, mothers, friends andcolleagues, searching for theirvoice and movement within thehectic routine of everyday life.The show is a dialoguebetween visual/object-theaterand contemporary flamencodance through a poetic use ofobjects and soundscapes thatcompose art and life.Dramaturgically, the piece isframed as a day: from theendless chain of cups of coffeein the morning, a water breakduring sportive activity,through an afternoon coffeeand cigarette, the eveningglass of wine, and a desperatedrink in the lonely night thatbrings the two women to thenext morning. Café Olé is avisual-choreographic portraitof feminine emotional states,and centers on the daily‘dance’ of trying to ‘keep it alltogether’: career, motherhood,joy, depression, therelationship with the body, theendless exhaustion, and theplace of friendship and artwithin this chaos.
